Aims

The goal is to enable students to communicate in the target language with their ability of full potential.

Language:

Q: Where’s/are the (passport/map….)?

    Can you find my (passport/map….)?

A: It’s/They’re in/on/under/next to/between/ in front of/behind the (chair).

Your (passport/map/tickets….) is in/on…the (chair).

Vocabularies: ticket, passport, money, traveler’s checks, map, wallet, bag, guidebook, suitcase, swimming-suit, sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, umbrella

 Procedure

Warm –Up

Great the students. Brainstorm holidays and ask students What’s your plan for your summer vacation? (Intelligences: Intrapersonal, Verbal/linguistic)

1. When students say that they are going on holidays, teacher says “What you might need?” When students say the vocabulary show them the authentic objects from teacher’s bag. Tell students that teacher is going on holidays and she/he can’t find her/his tickets, passports, money…. Have students help teacher to find all her needs. When students find teacher’s articles, helps students speak out the article vocabularies and the prepositions. (Activity 1)

 I find your “passport”. It is “under…” the table.

2. Play “Simon Says…”(Activity 2) giving the children instructions which they must obey if they are preceded by the words “Simon Says…”Give instructions such as “Anna, put the map between two chairs, etc.

3. Play “Packing”.(Activity 3) Have students work in pairs. One be A the other be B. Tell students they are going on holidays. They need tickets, passport, money…. But where are they? Hand out the pictures of a room─ room A card to student B, room B card to student A. Room A(B) card shows the A(B) student’s articles. Ask students don’t show the card to their partner. Have students ask their partner where they are and draw them in. The winner is the pair which finishes the room cards fastest.

Q: Anna, where is/are the (wallet…)? Do you know? Thank you.

4. Stick the flashcards cards on the white board. Have students repeat after teacher.

Divide the class into two groups and have each student of two groups come to the front. Students might listen to what the teacher say and hit the flashcards with a hammer quickly. (Activity 4) The winner is the group which hit the most right cards. (Intelligences: Interpersonal, Body/kinesthetic, spatial/visual )

 Homework

  Have students listen to a dialog from the CD at home. They might comprehend and repeat what the dialog say and write down their answer in English.
